East Peoria High School’s Green Carnival

Posted on: May 28th, 2018 by rjohnson

The EPCHS Hope Club is the high school’s environmental organization.  In honor of Earth Day they hosted a green carnival consisting of ecological games and information for students in grades pre K – 8.  There was also energy and money saving information for the student’s parents.  The organizations that participated were: EPCHS Hope Club, ICC’s  S.A.F.E Club, East Peoria Green, Evergreen Home Energy, Ameren, Green Top Grocery Co-Op, Tazewell Co. Health Department, City of East Peoria Public Works, Army Core of Engineers, Friends of the Armstrong Prairie, and Hands Helping Haiti Water Project.  In the pictures you can see some of the booths that were set up for the event.  Some booths also had games for children to play and learn about recycling.  There were also some booths where you could make something out of recycled material.

The Green Carnival will occur next spring around Earth Day.  Watch for it.  We hope to see you there.
