Annual Flower Sale

Posted on: May 25th, 2022 by rjohnson

The city of East Peoria had their annual Flower Sale on Saturday May 7th.  East Peoria Green was at the event.  Linda was at a table in the FOLEPI Building informing residents about environmental issues such as plastic pollution.  She was also handout milkweed seeds for monarch butterflies or pollinator flowers such as purple coneflower seeds.  Meanwhile some of the rest of us were out picking up litter around the streets of East Peoria.  Here are a couple of photos showing us at work.  The first picture is a selfie of Connie working on her side of the road, with me, Bob, bringing up the rear.  In the other photo Trey and Jamison, from the EPCHS Hope Club are working with Mr. Hobbs picking up trash in another area of town.
We hope to do a clean up of the riverfront on the morning of the 5th of July, after the celebration of the 4th of July.  If you would like to help please contact Bob at 309-966-2223.
